Portraits and Companions

The animals who witness our lives

The studio is named for a little dog. Companion portraits get the same attention here as any other portrait, because the relationship is the same size as any other relationship, and losing one is the same size too. It is also where the dogs in uniform live — the aviator, the radio operator, the infantryman, the one in a bomb suit.

The archive

Eighty-three of one hundred and forty-two

Timothy has painted more than the site can show. Work moves out of the studio, into collections and into commissions, and the archive is still being photographed. If you are looking for a piece you saw somewhere else, ask — it probably still exists.
