The artist
He did not plan on being an artist.
Timothy Colomer spent his career in Marine Corps Explosive Ordnance Disposal. In 2006 he was blown up during a mission in Iraq. The aftermath left him with experiences that were difficult to put into words, and painting turned out to be the language that worked.
He works in watercolor, oil, graphite and charcoal from a studio in Houston. The work found veterans first. It has since found everybody else.
