What an original includes
Four things, stated plainly
- The painting itself
- The original work, not a reproduction. Sizes vary by piece — Timothy paints from small panels to large canvases.
- Framed in black
- Originals ship framed in black unless you ask for something else. The frame is chosen for the painting, not for a catalog.
- Certificate of authenticity
- Every original comes with a signed certificate of authenticity recording the title, the year and the artist.
- One of one
- When an original sells it is gone. The framed, ready-to-hang print of the same painting stays available at $69.99.
How to ask
Tell him which painting
Send the title, or a description if you do not have one. Timothy will tell you whether the original is still in the studio, what it measures and what it costs. If it has already sold, he will say so and tell you what else is close to it.
