The Aviator is part of a tribute series I created to honor the men and women of World War II — those who stood tall in one of the most pivotal eras in human history. I’ve always been drawn to the imagery and detail of their gear — functional, iconic, and full of character. This particular piece celebrates the aviators, whose command of the skies helped define victory. They were fearless, often flying into the unknown with little more than grit, wool-lined jackets, and steel nerves. This painting captures that spirit — resolute, calm, and ever-ready.
