After a Long Walk is a lighthearted tribute to the brotherhood I found in the EOD community. After a long mission or a tough training op — whether stateside or deployed — we’d end the day with a drink, decompress, and just talk. That time was sacred. It was where we bonded, laughed, vented, and watched out for each other without saying much. This painting captures that quiet camaraderie, swapped here for a group of loyal, battle-tested dogs — because let’s face it, that’s what we were: tough, loyal, a little scruffy, and always watching each other’s six.
